Buttons Galore!

To support our maths development, the Ladybirds listened to a story about a lost button belonging to a very upset toad. His friend Frog, found a button but sadly not the right one. The story made the Ladybirds consider the variety of buttons there are. They carefully sorted the buttons in the classroom, according to their preferred choice. Some children sorted by colour, others by the number of holes and some children noticed the shape or size of the buttons were different. Maybe you have a box of buttons at home for your child to sort, and then they can tell you why they chose to sort by this category! Have fun!
