Ranworth Triumph on Sports' Day

Sports' Day Success for Ranworth!

It has been a very warm week with some extremely bright sunshine. Thankfully, we have all been spared any weather-related issues. I do hope the nice weather lasts until the end of term, so that all our planned events can go ahead without issue, namely the Summer Fayre and Leavers' BBQ.

Transition day began the week and I hope that all children got to enjoy spending some time with their new staff in their new year groups. I also hope those children moving over to our Junior school for Year 3 or those who are moving to new schools, wherever that may be, had a great time. I am sure all children will do very well come September to impress their new classes.

On Wednesday the glorious weather we had been having seemed to fade and there was a moment that I felt Sports' Day may have to be called off as I walked the dog in the rain, but our prayers were answered and the rain held off until the very moment proceedings had finished sparing anyone getting wet. All the children who took part did very well and Ranworth House became this year's overall winners ending a two-year reign of Filby House. The House Captains held the trophy aloft to rapturous applause, but all participants played their parts successfully because results were very close. Thank you to all spectators for watching and encouraging the children.

Next week on Thursday 10th July, those children meeting the eligibility criteria will be heading off to the cinema for the attendance reward trip to watch How to Train Your Dragon. If that was not enough, on Friday 11th July, we have the PTFAs Summer Fayre at Junior school from 3:30pm. It is going to be a very hectic week.
