Flower Power!

Reception pupils adorn the trim trail in blossom and petals!

The end of another busy week is upon us and thankfully the sunshine has remained alongside the increase in temperature. Phewee! I have had the pleasure of visiting each and every class this week, spending time with the children during assembly and break times and speaking to teaching staff as part of their ongoing performance management.

Reception were busy in their outdoor area exploiting the lovely weather and this can be seen in the picture above, which was several of the children decorating the trim trail with flowers ahead of a mock wedding ceremony. Perhaps, this was the bridal party posing in action. There was also a road traffic re-enactment with scooters and trikes not to mention some water play and mud creativity. Our Reception cohort are such fun to be around!

We are on the hunt for some additional outdoor/gardening equipment so if you are feeling generous and wish to donate some plant pots, mini trowels or forks or even fancy donating some plants/seeds, please simply drop these into the office. Our children are busy gardening at the moment and love going outside to get mucky. We have strawberries and potatoes growing, so anything additional we might get will definitely be used.

Next week, please remember that the Federation of schools is closed due to it being a Bank Holiday Monday, On Tuesday 6th May, we are having our class photographs taken so we all need to being looking smart on this day. On Thursday 8th May, we are hoping for good weather so our VE Day celebrations together can go ahead as planned. Fingers crossed.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
