I want to tell you a story!

Children learning all about the world around us!

It has been a valuable week and I cannot believe Friday has arrived already. Dragonflies were busy painting their African sunset pictures adding in the animals that they may have spotted on safari. They looked amazing and it was a pleasure to see how engaged they all were.

It was also fantastic to see the different stories being shared with classes this week across the school. Nothing beats sitting and listening to a well-told story with actions and voices.

The Year 6 Barton House Captains visited the Infants today to lead an assembly; to carry out a learning walk; to lead an Infant Leadership meeting and to organise playground games. They were fabulous with the younger children and I am really proud of them both. The Infant Leaders have been tasked with designing a new Parish flag for Ormesby St. Margaret with Scratby. We talked about what important features of both villages there were and how the designs needed to promote them both equally to visitors. We will wait and see what they come up with.

Next week, we will be looking at Internet safety in class and in assembly as 7.2.23 is Internet Safety Day. Our school councillors will also be raising the profile of mental health across the Federation. On Friday 10th February, classes will all enjoy a sporting enrichment day of Tri-Golf. Perhaps, we may unearth the next future golf professional.

Have a great weekend everyone!
