Easter Egg-Mania
Easter Bonnets and Egg Raffle rule the day!
The Easter events came to a head today where pupils with a homemade bonnet paraded around the Hall for everyone's entertainment and the first and second winners were chosen by other class staff. There were some fantastic designs; one being so big the child needed help to parade around with it. It was almost as big as them. Great efforts from everyone!
The children also benefitted from an egg hunt looking for hidden little eggs, which had been dropped around the school by the Easter bunny because the weather outside was not nice enough. Later in the day the raffle was also drawn, so thank you to everyone who purchased raffle squares. All monies raised will be invested back into the school.
All week, parent-teacher meetings have taken place, so I hope parents were happy with the reports and feedback from staff regarding their children and their progress.
Rev. Jo visited to conduct her Easter assembly for us. It is always good to learn about the religious significance of the Easter season alongside the Open The Book stories we have each week.
We had a biscuit workshop organised by Norse on Wednesday for each class to enjoy decorating some Easter delights. Sprinkles, icing and crunchy balls could all be added to make them really stand out. Lots of messy fun was had by all.
Please remember children return on Tuesday 14th April. The school is closed to pupils on Monday 13th April due to it being a staff training day.
I hope you all have a lovely Easter holidays. Stay safe everyone!
