Virtual Athletics and more DT
DT Week ends with Virtual Athletics
It has been another warm week where we have seen the children complete their Design and Technology cross-phase projects with Infant and Junior children working together to make sweets/biscuits and appealing packaging. A fabulous opportunity to get older children working with younger pupils setting a great example for others to follow in the future. Well done everyone involved in making it a success.
On Friday, we saw children arrive in non-uniform in exchange for a tombola prize towards our PTFA Summer Fayre. Donations were extremely generous and we appreciate everything we received. Thank you.
Friday morning was also our virtual athletics competition courtesy of Premier Sports. The children did an array of different athletic activities and their scores were collected. Hopefully, when placed against those from other competing schools, they will provide further sporting success.
Our Year 2 children going into our Junior school in September went on an additional transition trip to be part of a French lesson with Madame Bibbey. It was great to see them learning a new language and enjoying their first lesson at Juniors.
Next week, we have our Infant Sports' Day on Wednesday 2nd July beginning from 9:30am. Hopefully, our carousel of events will be a success. If it continues to be extremely warm next week, please ensure your child has a water bottle, a sun hat and is wearing sun cream protection.
Have a great weekend everyone!
